HALAKH minimizes public personal information and separates community identity from private account data.
Privacy Policy
Effective October 6, 2026. HALAKH collects only information needed to operate the features a visitor chooses to use.
Gather accounts
When you create a Gather account, HALAKH stores your private email address, username, display name, salted password hash, optional public profile information, posts, writings, comments, follows, reactions, saved items, and moderation records. Email addresses and password hashes are not displayed publicly.
Location and sky calculations
Appointed Times may use approximate network location or, only with browser permission, precise device location to calculate the local sky. The ordinary location lookup is used to answer the request and is not added to your Gather profile. Do not place exact addresses in public profile fields or posts.
Cookies
HALAKH uses secure session cookies for member, teacher, and administrator sign-in. These cookies are used for authentication rather than advertising.
Service providers
HALAKH is hosted on Vercel and uses Vercel Blob for application storage. Scripture lookup may use a third-party Bible API. Those providers process network requests necessary to deliver their services under their own terms and policies.
Children
Gather is for people age 13 and older. HALAKH does not knowingly create Gather accounts for children under 13. If an under-13 account is identified, it may be suspended or removed.
Data use
HALAKH does not sell member personal information. Account information is used to operate, secure, moderate, and improve the service. Community-safety reports are visible only to authorized moderators.
Your choices
You may keep profile location blank, avoid public posting, block members, report content, and request account or data assistance through the Contact page. Account deletion/export controls will continue to be expanded as the service matures.
