Carry one another without exploiting one another.
The Gather community is designed for substantive publishing and fellowship with clear privacy and safety boundaries.
Community Guidelines
Protect people
Do not harass, threaten, bully, stalk, shame, sexually exploit, or encourage harm toward another person. Never publish another person’s private information without permission.
Protect privacy
Do not post exact home addresses, private phone numbers, passwords, government identifiers, school schedules, live travel details, or similarly sensitive information. Region-level profile information is optional. Exact location is not required for Gather.
Young members
Gather is 13+. If you are under 18, do not arrange an in-person meeting with someone you know only from Gather without involving a parent, guardian, or other trusted adult. Do not move a conversation into secrecy to avoid normal family or community safeguards.
Publish what you can carry
Do not spam, impersonate, manipulate engagement, use deceptive links, or publish malicious code. Long-form teachings should distinguish quotation, interpretation, calculation, testimony, and opinion where that distinction matters.
Scripture and disagreement
Strong disagreement is permitted. Degrading people is not. Address arguments, readings, practices, and claims without turning theological disagreement into targeted abuse.
Moderation
Members can report posts and block accounts. Authorized teachers/administrators may review reports, remove posts, resolve reports, or suspend accounts. Repeated attempts to evade moderation may result in further restrictions.
Immediate safety
Gather is not an emergency service. If someone is in immediate physical danger, contact local emergency services or a trusted person who can act in the real world.
